תפלה לפני הבישול של שבת
רבונו של עולם הנני עומדת מוכנה ומזומנת להתחיל במלאכת הקודש להכין בשר ודגים וכל מטעמים לכבוד השבת הקדושה ולכבוד יום טוב, לקיים מקרא שכתוב "והכינו את אשר יביאו" לכן טרחתי ובכל עמלי, אנא, משמים שים נא את ברכותיך ובכל תבשיל ותבשיל, אנא משמים פזר התבלין ששמו שבת שאי אפשר להשיגו בעולמינו עבור כל ממון שהוא, רק על ידי שאשליך יהבי בתחינה לפניך, ריבון העולם בטרם אתחיל במלאכת כפיים, אתן פרוטה לצדקה כאשר ציוותנו כי "פותח את ידך ומשביע לכל חי רצון"
תן לי ריבוני, שמחה בלבי ששוב מגיעה שבת המלכה שנתת לנו באהבה, ואזכה לקבלה בחשק רב, בבריאות הגוף והנפש, ואוכל להכין כל תבשיל ותבשיל ולא ימוש כוחי ויהיה לי כח רב. ותשמריני ותנצריני שלא תבא שום תקלה על ידי, והכל יהיה כשר ומדוקדק כאשר ציוויתני, ואל יפריעוני מחשבות יצר הרע בשעה שאני מבשלת ומתפללת לפניך אלא בשעה שאני מבשלת תהיינה שפתי ממלמלות תפלה מתוך הלב.
מודה אני לפניך על שנתת לנו בזה השבוע צורכי השבת ותיתן לנו היום ובכל יום תמיד מידך המלאה והקדושה והרחבה ולא על ידי מתנת בשר ודם ויהיו נא מזונותיי אשר אני טורחת ועמלה להכינם לכבוד השבת והחג לרצון על מזבחך כאילו הקרבתים לפניך.
אל רחום וחנון כמו שאמרו חז"ל כל זמן שבית המקדש היה קיים היה מזבח מכפר על בני ישראל ועכשיו שולחנו של אדם מכפר עליו, ונאכל בשמחה כי כבר רצך, ויהיו נא המאכלים אשר טרחתי ועמלתי לכבוד השבת והחג ערבים ונעימים גם לפני אישי, גם לפני בני ביתי, ולפני כל המסובים על שולחננו מעמך ישראל כאשר ציוויתנו "ואהבת לריעך כמוך."
ואוסיף תפילתי אלהי שיהיה כל האוכל על שולחנינו מזכיר לפנינו שהכל ממך, אב רחום וחנון, מתנת חינם. ולא תעלה בליבי מחשבת פיגול המאוסה בעיניך ולא הרהורי גאווה והתנשאות. ונהיה אנחנו וצאצאינו לומדי תורתך לשמה, מוכשרים בדיני שולחן ערוך ודיני בישול בשבת ויום טוב לפרטיהם ודקדוקותיהם. בכוונת לב תמים נודה ונברך לשמך הגדול "הצור משלו אכלנו ושבענו" ונשבחך בזמירות ותשבחות מעתה ועד עולם.

PRAYER FOR SHABBOS PREPARATIONS
Master of the Universe, I stand ready to begin the holy work of preparing meat and fish and all kinds of good things to honor the holy Shabbos and holy Yom Tov, to uphold the verse, "...and they prepared that which they gathered." Please place your blessings in each and every dish. Please sprinkle the spice called, "Shabbos" , which is impossible to have for all the money in the world but which can be had by supplicating You for it. Master of the World, before I begin, I will give charity as you commanded us for, "You open your hand and satisfy all the living things according to their desire."
My Master, place joy in my heart that Shabbos the Queen is once again coming - the Shabbos that you gave us with love. Let me merit receiving it with great desire, with a healthy body and soul. Help me to prepare each dish. May my strength remain with me. Watch over me and protect me from mishap and may everything be kosher as you commanded me. Help me from being distracted from thoughts originating with the Evil Inclination while I cook and pray before you. Rather, while I cook, may my lips utter prayers from the heart.
I thank you for giving us this week our needs for Shabbos and ask that you give us today and every day continuously from Your Hand that is full and overflowing and wide, rather than from flesh and blood. May the food that I prepare for Shabbos and Yom Tov be acceptable upon Your altar as if I brought it as a sacrifice before You.
Merciful and compassionate God, as Chazal said, "As long as the Temple was standing, the altar provided forgiveness for the children of Israel and now, man's table provides forgiveness." Let us eat with joy because You have already accepted and desire our work. Let our foods that I prepared in honor of Shabbos and Yom Tov be tasty and pleasant for my family and our guests as You commanded us, "Love your friend as yourself."
I will add a prayer, my Lord, that all the food on our table remind us that all is a gift from You, merciful and compassionate Father. As I work, let no foul or repulsive (in Your Eyes) thought or thoughts of haughtiness and arrogance come over me. May we and our progeny be of those who learn Your Torah for its own sake...knowledgeable in the laws of the Shulchan Aruch and the laws of cooking on Shabbos and the holidays. With a simple heart, we thank and bless Your great Name, "the Rock from Whom we eat and are satiated." And we will praise You with song and praises from now and forever.
